Brazilian band will be produced by Jeff Scott Soto and Alessandro Del Vecchio

Brazilian band Spektra announces that they signed a contract with Italian label Frontiers Records for the release of their debut album in 2021. The formation of Spektra has internationally renowned musicians such as BJ (vocals), Leo Mancini (guitars), Edu Cominato ( drums) and Henrique Canale (bass). Details of the album will be released soon by the band and the record company. The album will be produced by Alessandro Del Vecchio and vocalist Jeff Scott Soto
Spektra is the new project of vocalist BJ, who is part of bands like Jeff Scott Soto Band, SOTO, Talisman, Tempestt and Danger Angel. Spektra has influences from names such as Journey, Foreigner, Winger, among others. The objective is to deliver melodies mixed with the energy of hard rock. Produced and supervised by legendary vocalist Jeff Scott Soto and Italian Alessandro Del Vecchio, Spektra will introduce BJ’s incredible voice to the world in 2021.
“I’ve been dating Frontiers Records since I started working with Jeff Scott Soto. They always wanted my authorial work and gave total freedom to choose the musicians who would form the band. I just chose very competent friends and musicians who know me perfectly”, said BJ. “The name Spektra came from a great friend who said he wanted to make a band with that name for a long time, but it had a lot more to do with my sound than his, so I just put K in place of C. Me I loved the name and the sound, it sounds strong”, he added.
BJ is known in Brazil for his vocal skills and his work with Tempestt, but also internationally recognized, being a constant member of all bands and projects of Jeff Scott Soto (Jeff Scott Soto Band, SOTO) as guitarist and backing vocals since 2009. He has recorded and released several albums with Soto, either as part of the band Jeff Scott Soto (‘A Night in Madrid’, ‘Damage Control’, ‘Loud and Live in Milan’) or SOTO (‘Inside the Vertigo’,’Divak’ ,’Origami’). He is also a member of Talisman’s latest lineup (on keyboards and backing vocals) for concerts and appearances at major European festivals.
Since 2014, BJ is also the vocalist of the Greek hard rock band Danger Angel, with whom he recorded and released an album “All The King s Horses”. He has toured Europe and Latin America extensively while also participating in most major festivals including Sweden Rock, Graspop, Hard Rock Hell AOR, Monsters of Rock Cruise, Rock of Ages, Bang Your Head, etc. BJ also released a solo cover album containing songs from their heroes, “Acoustic Heroes”.
